Clara Dias unfolds life story

“Since childhood, I was interested in singing songs in English and Konkani. I never missed any opportunity to sing. In fact I used to request the organizers to permit me to sing. I got a lot of encouragement to sing Konkani songs during wedding ceremonies after the bridal toast was raised. It is here that I was noticed as a singer”, expressed Clara Dias, the veteran tiatr artiste during her interaction with her fans on the occasion of ‘Kolakorak Bhett’ –Meet the Artiste monthly programme organized by Tiatr Academy of Goa (TAG) recently in the TAG’s Conference Hall, Campal Trade Centre, Panjim.

Addressing the audience further, she recounted the hardships faced by them while participating in tiatrs in different parts of Goa due to lack of transport as well as due to lack of facilities while acting and singing on the tiatr stage.
