Zeemix Trio enthrals tiatr lovers

Zeemix Trio seen with their mementos along with TAG President Jacob Fernandes and Vice President Joe Rose

Tiatr stage has seen many variations in singing from solos to duets to duos to trios. One such trio sensation who adored the tiatr stage was the Zeemix Trio.

The members of this trio Zeferino, Michael and Xavier were invited by Tiatr Academy of Goa at its regular monthly programme ‘Meet the Artiste’ held on 8th April 2014 at Black Box, Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.

While narrating their journey on the tiatr stage, they said that originally the trio was started by Agapito Xavier along with Wilson and Ariton Mazarello in Mumbai. No sooner Ariton left for the Gulf in search of a job. He was replaced by Michael and the group was christened as Wilmix Trio. They went on to become very popular in those times due to their classic trios and went on to produce several audio albums.

In 1985 Wilson left for Goa and Zeferino was roped in his place and they renamed themselves as the Zeemix Trio and since then there was no looking back. They have enthralled the tiatr lovers not only in Mumbai but also in Goa and foreign countries in Gulf including U.A.E.

Besides singing as a Trio, they have also composed and sung solos individually.  Zeemix Trio has produced albums viz ‘Ugddas’, ‘Ulhas’ and four Christmas audio albums and have gained popularity due to their versatile singing.

Prominent among those present for the programme were tiatr artistes Eddie Mascarenhas, Cristina Vaz, Vincent de Nagoa, Ramesh Komarpant, etc.

Earlier Shri. Jacob Fernandes, President of TAG welcomed the gathering and later presented a memento to each member of Zeemix Trio as a remembrance of the day. Shri. Joe Rose, Vice President of TAG proposed a vote of thanks. Jess Luz, J.C.A, compered the function.
